Carat AI Weekly Update | 2nd Week of September 2025

There’s a lot happening at Carat this week—from powerful new AI models to exciting feature updates. Let’s dive right in!

1. Higgsfield Soul is now live — only on Carat

Carat is the first AI platform to launch Higgsfield, a premium image model previously available only to select partners. Now, Carat users get early access to Higgsfield Soul, an image generation model known for its cinematic quality and realistic portraits, especially within guided templates.

You can either select the Higgsfield model manually or use it through the “Higgsfield Soul” tab in your Mini Agent.

💡 Tip: For best results, use a reference image that closely matches your desired outcome when working with Higgsfield.

2. Introducing Higgsfield Effects for video

We’ve also added over 100 Higgsfield Effects to Carat. These cinematic video effects are now fully available and can be accessed under the “Effects” tab in your Mini Agent.

3. Veo3 price drop & new features

Both Veo3 and Veo3 Fast just got 50% cheaper—and they’ve been upgraded too!

• Now supports 9:16 aspect ratio and 1080p resolution

• New duration options: 4s, 6s, 8s

• Generate high-quality, audio-enabled videos with up to 87% lower cost using Veo3 Fast (4s)

Now's a great time to create more professional videos without breaking the bank.

4. Seedream 4.0 has landed

Meet Seedream 4.0, ByteDance’s highly-rated image generation and editing model—hailed as the next “Nanobanana-level” breakthrough. It excels at:

• Generating ultra-high-quality 4K images

• Understanding nuanced prompts

• Realistic editing

• Strong representation of East Asian features

You’ll notice the difference in both creativity and clarity.

5. Pixverse V5 is now available

We’ve added support for Pixverse V5, a powerful video model that wasn’t previously available on Carat. It’s more affordable than many other models, yet supports keyframe generation—making it ideal for detailed and dynamic videos.

And this is just the beginning—more Pixverse models are on the way!

6. New: Webpage reading capability

7. Improved: Image inpainting (selective editing)

Our image editing feature just got smarter. You can now precisely modify specific areas of an image without affecting the rest. Edits are also significantly faster.

To use it, simply click on a generated image and select the edit option.

8. Upgraded: AI Fitting

We’ve made big improvements to AI Fitting. Clothing details are now more accurate, and issues like unintended changes to non-clothing areas have been greatly reduced.

To try it out, just upload a photo of a person along with a clothing image, and let Carat handle the rest.
