# How do I delete my account?

### Before deleting your account

* When you delete your account, all data (generated images, videos, chat history, etc.) will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

  * Please back up any important generations or chat history before deleting your account.

* If you have an active paid subscription, we recommend canceling it before deleting your account.

## How to delete your account

#### Website

* 1. On the Carat AI website, click your \[Account nickname(계정 닉네임)] at the bottom left.
* 2. Select \[Settings(설정)] → \[Account Info(계정 정보)].
* 3. Click \[Delete Account(탈퇴하기)] at the bottom and follow the deletion process.

#### Mobile web (phone browser)

* 1. Open the Carat AI website (carat.im) and log in.
* 2. Tap the \[Menu(메뉴)] (☰) icon at the top left.
* 3. Select your \[Account nickname(계정 닉네임)] at the bottom of the menu.
* 4. Select \[Settings(설정)] → \[Account Info(계정 정보)].
* 5. Click \[Delete Account(탈퇴하기)] at the bottom and follow the deletion process.

<Note>
  On mobile web the side menu is collapsed, so your account nickname is not shown by default. Open the top-left \[Menu(메뉴)] (☰) first.

#### App

* 1. In the Carat AI app, tap \[Profile(프로필)] at the bottom right.
* 2. Tap the \[Menu(메뉴)] (☰) at the top right.
* 3. Tap \[Delete Account(탈퇴하기)] at the bottom and follow the deletion process.
