# What is the 'Carat Video' model? How do I use it in Agent 2.0?

## What is the 'Carat Video' model?

**'Carat Video'** is Carat's in-house tuned video generation model, powered internally by the **LTX video model**. In the product UI it appears as **'Carat Video'** (or simply "Carat").

* **Lower credit cost:** One of the lowest-cost video models on Carat.
* **Eligible for unlimited benefits:** It is the only **always-on** video model covered by the **video unlimited benefit** on Premium / Max / Pro plans. Separately, Seedance 2.0 mini is unlimited only on Premium, Max, and Pro accounts that subscribed or upgraded to annual during the promotion window, for a set period from the payment date (1 day on Premium, 3 days on Max, 7 days on Pro).
* **Fast generation:** Optimized for short clips around 5 seconds.

Apart from the limited-time Seedance 2.0 mini benefit, other third-party video models (Kling, Google Veo, Seedance 2.0, MiniMax, etc.) deduct significantly more credits than Carat Video and are **not** included in the unlimited benefit.

## Agent 1.0 vs Agent 2.0: behavioral difference

The default video model **differs between Agent 1.0 and Agent 2.0.** To get the unlimited benefit in Agent 2.0, you must explicitly request the Carat Video model.

  In Agent 2.0, saying **"use the Carat Basic Video model"** or **"use the Carat Video model"** may invoke a Seedance-family or another model. If your account has the Carat Basic Video unlimited benefit, request **"Use Carat Basic Video (LTX 2.5)"** explicitly to receive it. To see whether your account has the benefit, check the \[Active benefits(받고 있는 혜택)] section at the bottom of \[My Credits(내 크레딧)].

| **Premium** (monthly or annual) | **Unlimited** (members who subscribed on or after Feb 25, 2026; the benefit lasts 1 year) |
| **Max** (monthly or annual) | **Unlimited** (members who subscribed on or after May 22, 2026; the benefit lasts 1 year) |
| **Pro** (lifetime) | **Unlimited** |

  The unlimited benefit lets you **generate** with Carat Video (LTX) without credit deduction during the eligible benefit period. **Chatting** with the agent still uses credits for the reasoning behind each answer. When you're low on credits, recharge your credits, or select Carat Video (LTX) in the [Generator(생성기)](/docs/en/troubleshooting/usage-plan/generator-unlimited-generation) and keep making unlimited video. This benefit also applies only when you generate in the Carat app or website: generating through MCP (Carat connected to Claude or another AI tool) deducts credits.
