# What is the 'Carat Video' model? How do I use it in Agent 2.0?

## What is the 'Carat Video' model?

**'Carat Video'** is Carat's in-house tuned video generation model, powered internally by the **LTX video model**. In the product UI it appears as **'Carat Video'** (or simply "Carat").

* **Lower credit cost:** About **33 credits** per generation — one of the most affordable video models on Carat.
* **Eligible for unlimited benefits:** It is the only video model covered by the **video unlimited benefit** on Premium / Pro / Business plans.
* **Fast generation:** Optimized for short clips around 5 seconds.

Other third-party video models (Kling, Google Veo, Sora, Seedance, MiniMax, etc.) deduct significantly more credits than Carat Video and are **not** included in the unlimited benefit.

## Agent 1.0 vs Agent 2.0: behavioral difference

The default video model **differs between Agent 1.0 and Agent 2.0.** To get the unlimited benefit in Agent 2.0, you must explicitly request the Carat Video model.

| Agent | Default model for video requests | How to use Carat Video (LTX) |
| :------------ | :------------------------------------------------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Agent 1.0** | **Carat Video (LTX)** is used by default. | Just request a video as usual. |
| **Agent 2.0** | **Seedance 2.0** is the default for performance reasons. | Explicitly request **"Use Carat Basic Video (LTX 2.3)"**. |

<Warning>
  In Agent 2.0, saying **"use the Carat Basic Video model"** or **"use the Carat Video model"** may invoke Seedance 2.0 or another model. In that case, request **"Use Carat Basic Video (LTX 2.3)"** explicitly to receive the unlimited benefit.
</Warning>

## Example prompts (Agent 2.0)

* "(your request) **+ Use Carat Basic Video (LTX 2.3)**"
* "**Text-to-video, use Carat Basic Video (LTX 2.3)**"

## Credit deduction by plan

| Plan | When using Carat Video (LTX) |
| :------------------- | :-------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Free** | Deducted from daily free credits |
| **Plus** | **About 33 credits per generation** (not included in unlimited benefit) |
| **Premium** (1 year) | **Unlimited** (members who subscribed on or after Feb 25, 2026, for 1 year) |
| **Pro** (lifetime)   | **Unlimited**                                                               |
| **Business**         | **Unlimited**                                                               |

<Info>
  The unlimited benefit lets you **generate** with Carat Video (LTX) without credit deduction during the eligible benefit period. **Chatting** with the agent still uses credits, and \[Agent 2.0(에이전트 2.0)] uses more conversation credits. When you're low on credits, use \[Agent 1.0(에이전트 1.0)], which lets you make unlimited Carat Video (LTX) even when low on credits. See [Unlimited benefit scope](/en/troubleshooting/usage-plan/unlimited-benefit-scope) for details.
