# Generate with unlimited models in the Generator, no credits needed

> The Generator lets you pick a model and generate without a conversation. Learn how to open it, how to use it, and when credits are deducted.

The **\[Generator(생성기)]** lets you pick a model and generate right away, without chatting with an agent. It doesn't spend conversation credits, so **if your account has an unlimited benefit**, you can keep generating with unlimited-eligible models even when your credit balance is low or at zero.

The Generator itself is not free, though. **If your account has no unlimited benefit (including the free plan), or you pick a model that isn't unlimited-eligible, credits are deducted in the Generator too**, and you can't generate without enough balance. Check [Unlimited benefit scope](/docs/en/troubleshooting/usage-plan/unlimited-benefit-scope) to see what applies to your account.

<Info>
  In the app, the \[Generator(생성기)] is available on **version 2.281.0 or later**. The web has no version requirement.

  If you don't see it in the app menu, update the app from your store. If you can't update, sign in at [carat.im/generator](https://carat.im/generator) and use it right away.

<Warning>
  For video, the model isn't the only condition. The Carat Video (LTX) unlimited benefit applies to image-based generation and to start/end image generation. See [Carat Video is unlimited but generation is blocked](/docs/en/troubleshooting/usage-plan/carat-video-unlimited-blocked).
</Warning>

<Note>
  The Generator may show a notice that **credits can be deducted again after generation based on actual usage**.

  For some models, the real usage is only settled after generation, based on what you entered and the options you picked. Speech (TTS) scales with the length of the text you provide, and image or video usage can vary with your inputs and settings. In those cases we deduct an estimated amount up front, then deduct the remaining difference once real usage is confirmed. The same generation is not billed twice, and this is expected behavior.

  If a deduction doesn't match what you expected, check your usage history on the \[My Credits(내 크레딧)] page to see which item was charged, and contact us if anything is still unclear. Conversation credits and generation credits are listed separately.
</Note>

<Tip>
  When you do want a conversation, press \[Chat to create(대화로 생성)] at the top right of the Generator to continue in the agent. The button only moves you to the agent screen and deducts nothing on its own. Once you're there, the messages you exchange use credits, and the agent may pick a model for you, so generation can be charged too if that model isn't unlimited-eligible. When your balance is low, pick the model yourself in the Generator.
