# What should I do when I run out of credits?

If you've exhausted all your credits, you can keep using Carat right away with the following options.

  **On an unlimited plan, you can keep generating without limits even at 0 credits.** Generating images or videos with unlimited models doesn't use credits. Conversations with the agent do use credits, and \[Agent 2.0(에이전트 2.0)] uses credits for smarter conversations and tasks. If you're low on credits, you can continue unlimited generation in \[Agent 1.0(에이전트 1.0)]. See [Unlimited benefit scope](/en/troubleshooting/usage-plan/unlimited-benefit-scope) for details.

### 1. Top up additional credits (recommended)

This is the fastest and most reliable method. You can top up additional credits at various price points including Plus, Boost, and Pro.

* **Validity period:** Additional recharged credits are **valid for 1 month** from the recharge date.
* **Recharge count:** You can recharge freely without any limit.

#### How to recharge

1. **App:** Bottom \[Profile(프로필)] → Top right \[Menu(메뉴)] (☰) → \[My Credits(내 크레딧)] → Select your desired credits option and pay.
2. **Website:** After visiting the [Carat website](https://carat.im/), bottom left \[Account nickname(계정 닉네임)]\(on mobile web, open the top-left \[Menu(메뉴)] (☰) first) → \[Upgrade(업그레이드)] → Select your desired credits option and pay.

### 2. Upgrade to a higher plan

If you need more monthly credits and access to advanced models, you can upgrade to a higher plan such as Plus, Pro, or Business on the [upgrade page](https://carat.im/en/upgrade).

### 3. Earn random credits (free users)

Free users can **earn random credits instantly by watching an ad or tapping a button**.

* **Validity**: Earned random credits are **valid for 3 days**.
* **How to check**: You can view your earned random credits in \[My Credits(내 크레딧)].
