🔥 Tim Cook's final pick: Siri on Google Gemini

Apple unveiled a rebuilt Siri at WWDC today. It runs on a custom Gemini model from Google, in a deal reportedly worth around $1 billion a year.
The new Siri can pull from your personal data like email, photos, and messages, read what's on your screen, and handle tasks across apps for you. You can also switch between Siri, ChatGPT, and Gemini in one place, and your data is processed on Apple's own secure servers, so Google can't use it for training. It was also Tim Cook's final keynote as CEO.

📌 3 more things today

1️⃣ ChatGPT now sends your emails for you

ⓒ @testingcatalog
ChatGPT no longer just drafts your email, it can send it right from the chat.
OpenAI rolled this out last week. Connect your Gmail and you can write and send mail without leaving the conversation. Just be careful with sensitive messages, since you're linking your inbox.

2️⃣ What's the new model inside Perplexity?

Perplexity added NVIDIA's new open model, Nemotron 3 Ultra, to its model lineup.
It's built for AI agents that run long tasks on their own. The model is huge, with 550 billion parameters, but it only fires up the parts it needs each time, so it runs similar work up to 5x faster.

3️⃣ Is Anthropic's security beast Mythos about to ship?

Anthropic briefly showed 'Claude Mythos 5' in dev mode, then pulled it back.
Mythos sits above Opus, Claude's top tier, and it's so strong at cybersecurity that Anthropic only hands it to a few vetted partners. It can find and break into security holes in major operating systems and browsers on its own. There's no official word yet, but people are wondering if Mythos is about to launch.

🧪 Prompt of the day

With just a photo of you and a photo of your favorite, you can make a selfie of the two of you together. The prompt @honinane shared cups your favorite's chin this time, with your faces pressed close.
The Carat team tried it with a photo of Karina.

Use the person in the first photo and the person in the second photo to make a natural selfie. Place the first person on the left and the second person on the right. Match the composition and mood of the third attached reference photo. The person on the right cups the left person's chin, and the two faces are close together. A dark indoor background, the feel of a selfie shot on an iPhone front camera, with a slightly blurry, low-res vibe. Most important: never change the face, eyes, nose, mouth, face shape, makeup, or clothing from the source photos. Do not reinterpret the faces in an AI style; keep the original faces exactly. Minimize skin retouching and keep it natural like a real selfie. Match only the pose and lighting to the reference. Do not alter facial identity. Keep exact facial features from source images. No face reshaping, no beauty filter look.
You can make your own with the prompt above and two photos.
