Meta dropped its first image generation AI, 'Muse Image.' And right out of the gate, it landed at #2 on the image leaderboard.
No. 1 is ChatGPT's GPT Image 2, and No. 2 is Muse Image. It edged past heavyweights like Google's Nano Banana 2 and Grok Imagine. You can use it free on Instagram, WhatsApp, and the Meta AI app.

📌 3 things worth knowing today

1. Claude Cowork keeps working after you close the laptop

Anthropic's AI assistant 'Claude Cowork' now works on your phone too. It started as a desktop app, and it's expanded to web and mobile.
Hand off a task at your desk, and Claude keeps working in the background even after you close the laptop. You check progress on your phone, and it only pings you when a decision is yours to make.
The fun part: most Cowork use isn't coding. Jobs like pulling reports together, building onboarding checklists, and reconciling files make up about a third.

2. Wait, AI can read 2,000-year-old inscriptions?

Google unveiled a tool that reads ancient Greek and Latin inscriptions with Gemini. Now historians can study 2,000-year-old texts carved in stone just by asking in plain language.
It fills in letters that have worn away or broken off, and pins down when and where a text was made. It works by searching nearly 150,000 inscriptions for similar records to compare.
It's open on the web for anyone to try, and the code is open source.

3. Meta teases its video AI next

Meta also teased its video generation AI, 'Muse Video.' It's still a preview, but they shared high-quality sample clips, like an underwater coral reef.
They say it holds its own on prompt following, image quality, and smooth scene transitions. On the video leaderboard, it currently sits at No. 3.
That's it for today. From Meta's new image and video AI to Claude working on your phone and AI reading ancient inscriptions, plenty going on. See you tomorrow. 🙂
