🔥 Half of US Workers Now Use AI
One in two US workers now uses AI on the job. That's the result of Gallup's Q1 2026 survey of 24,000 people.
In 2023, it was 21%. Three years later, it crossed 50% for the first time in US history.
Usage was even higher among office workers. AI has deeply embedded itself in everyday tasks like writing emails, summarizing reports, and organizing data.
Just three years ago, 'using AI' was something only a few people talked about. Now, it's the people who don't use it who are the minority. The question is no longer whether you use AI, but how well you use it.

1️⃣ A Chinese Open-Source AI Just Topped Coding Rankings
Chinese AI company Moonshot AI released Kimi K2.6, an open-source model that scored highest on coding benchmarks.
It can chain 4,000+ external tools and handle tasks lasting over 12 hours. Being open-source means anyone can use it for free. The US-dominated AI race is getting serious competition from China.
2️⃣ "Patients Who Study with AI Before Visits? Please Stop."
A doctor complained that "patients who research with AI beforehand ask much harder questions." Basically, it makes casual consultations difficult.
Responses poured in: "When it's hard enough to even get an appointment, what's wrong with being prepared?" A fun example of how AI is closing the information gap between experts and everyone else.
3️⃣ Amazon Pours Another $5 Billion Into Anthropic
Amazon is investing an additional $5 billion in Anthropic, with a potential total of $20 billion.
They've also secured 5 gigawatts of AI-dedicated computing infrastructure, with 1 gigawatt going live this quarter. The AI race has moved beyond model performance into an infrastructure scale war.
