1. Open a new chat
Carat’s tools are not picked up in chats you opened before adding the connector. Start a new chat after connecting.2. Check that Carat is on under [Connectors(커넥터)]
Open the [Connectors(커넥터)] menu in Claude’s message box and confirm Carat is switched on. Even with the connector added, the tools will not appear if it is off for that chat.3. Turn the connector off and reconnect
If it is on and the tools still do not appear, go to [Customize(사용자 지정)] → [Connectors(커넥터)] in Claude and turn Carat off, then connect again. When the Carat login window appears during reconnection, log in with your Carat account and allow access.4. Set tool permissions to [Always allow(항상 허용)] for regular use
If Claude asks for permission every time you make a request, set the permission to [Always allow(항상 허용)] and it will stop asking on later requests. The connection fails if the connector is registered with an old address. The current address is
https://mcp.carat.im/mcp. If you registered a different one, delete the connector and add it again with this address. If the tools still do not appear
- Check that you are logged in to your Carat account. The connector requires Carat account authentication, and tool calls fail once that authentication expires.
- Refresh the tool list. An older cached tool list can leave you with the wrong set. If your environment cannot refresh it, connect the connector again.
- If none of the above resolves it, use [Contact(문의하기)] in the Carat app or website and tell us which Claude environment you are using (web, app, or Claude Code) along with a screenshot.
Seeing a tool is not the same as a task running to completion. Free and paid plans both get the same tools, but each task is still subject to your account permissions and credit conditions — a request will not go through if your credits fall short (see Can I use MCP on the Free plan?).
