Connect Carat to Claude as a connector and you can create images and videos with Carat without leaving your Claude chat. Claude handles the conversation and planning; Carat does the actual generating.
What is MCP? It is the standard way an AI tool like Claude calls another service’s features directly. Carat connects to Claude through it. You only need to set up the connection once per account.

Where you can use it

Both Claude chat and Claude Code work with a single connector setup. ChatGPT support is in preparation.

Connect in three steps

1. Copy the Carat connector address

You only need to copy this once. You can also grab it with the copy button on carat.im/mcp.

2. Paste it into Claude’s add-connector dialog

In Claude, go to [Customize(사용자 지정)] → [Connectors(커넥터)] → [Add(추가)] (or open claude.ai/settings/connectors directly). When the [Add custom connector(커스텀 커넥터 추가)] dialog opens, fill it in as follows. Naming it Carat makes it easy to spot in your connector list during a chat.

3. Leave the advanced settings as “detected” and save

Advanced settings such as [Authentication(인증)] and [OAuth Client(OAuth 클라이언트)] are picked up from the Carat server automatically, so save them as-is while they show “detected”. You do not need to fill anything in. After saving, log in with your Carat account when the Carat login window appears and allow access.
You need to open a new chat after connecting before Carat’s tools become available. Check that Carat is switched on under [Connectors(커넥터)] in the message box. If the tools do not appear, see Carat’s tools do not show up in Claude.

How to ask in Claude

Once connected, just ask in plain language. Claude organizes the request, passes it to Carat, and Carat’s result comes back into the chat as a card.
Carat sets the concept and script first, locks the product details, then continues into an edited cut with subtitles.
Carat sets the key visual first, then opens up different copy space per aspect ratio so the set stays consistent.
Carat cleans up the background and changes only the lighting, keeping the shape and material of the original.
Carat finds matching items in the Carat prompt gallery, and you can pick one and apply it to your own photo right away.
Register it as a recurring schedule and Carat generates it ahead of time and lets you know.

Available models

You can specify Carat’s latest image and video models directly from Claude.
  • Image: Nanobanana Pro, ChatGPT Image 2.0, Midjourney, Seedream 5.0, Grok Imagine 2.0, Gemini Omni Flash
  • Video: Seedance 2.5, Kling O3
If you do not specify a model, Carat picks one that suits your request. To use a specific model, include its name in your request. Supported models keep expanding — see Model selection for the current list.

Where your results go

You can download results straight from the result card, and image and video results that completed normally can be found again in the [Library(라이브러리)] on the same Carat account. Click [Add to input(입력창에 추가)] in the library to keep working on it in the Carat agent (your Claude conversation itself does not carry over). See Where are results made in Claude saved? for details.
