What is usage?
Usage is the credit consumed when using features like image, video, and audio generation in Carat AI. Usage is deducted from your balance each time you use a feature.Checking usage

Usage screen details
You can transparently check your balance status in the following ways:- Multi status bar: Separate status bars are created for subscription plans, top-ups, and free usage, allowing you to see the remaining amount and individual expiration dates at a glance.
- Daily free usage: Only activated when you have exhausted all paid/promotional usage.
- Benefit information: You can check the currently applied promotional benefits in the [Benefits in use] section at the bottom of the screen.
Usage deduction criteria
Usage is deducted differently depending on the type of task and the AI model used. Videos require more usage than images, and high-performance video models like Sora2 and Veo3 require more usage than basic video models.For the most accurate and up-to-date usage information by model, please refer to [Maximum usage by major model] on the Upgrade page.
Usage expiration and deduction order
Usage is consumed in order of shortest expiration date. If you have paid/promotional usage, it will be consumed in order of shortest expiration date, and daily free usage will be provided when all is exhausted.- Paid plans/Top-ups: Subscription usage and top-ups are each valid for 1 month from the recharge date.
- Daily free usage: Recharged every 24 hours after use, and remaining usage does not carry over and expires.
Expired usage is automatically forfeited and difficult to recover. Please check the ‘Usage expiration date’ on the screen.
