Why the AI declines an unlimited feature
When the AI says it “can’t use” or declines an unlimited generation feature (for example Nano Banana, Nano Banana Pro, Z-Image, or Carat video generation), there are usually three causes.1. Model confusion
1. Model confusion
When the basic Nano Banana model is the one covered by the unlimited benefit, the AI may see only the name “Nano Banana” and try to call the higher-end Nano Banana Pro model instead of the basic one. Pro is not covered by the unlimited benefit, so the request can stop when there is no remaining usage.
2. Conflict with paid add-on tools
2. Conflict with paid add-on tools
Generating with an image model covered by the unlimited benefit does not use credits. However, to handle your request well or to get a better result, the AI may try to add a paid tool such as background removal or image analysis. If there is no remaining usage for that paid step, the AI may give up on the task or reply that it can’t proceed.
3. The AI gives incorrect information
3. The AI gives incorrect information
If the AI agent is not aware of an active promotion, it may rely on its default knowledge and reply, incorrectly, that the feature has a usage limit or that you don’t have enough usage (a hallucination), even when the unlimited benefit is actually applied to your account.
How to resolve it
Even when the AI fails or declines, the feature is often working normally on your account. Rather than asking the AI the same question again, the most reliable fix is to start a new chat and send the request again with a clear constraint.Example prompts
If the problem continues
If the AI keeps declining even after you ask explicitly, tap […] or [Share(공유하기)] at the top right of that chat and send the link to help@carat.im. Our technical team will check the actual logs and help you.Related articles
