If lip sync video generation isn’t working, insufficient credits may be the cause.

Lip sync feature characteristics

Lip sync is an advanced feature that precisely syncs lip movements to audio, and it consumes a very high number of credits.
  • It deducts far more credits than regular video generation.
  • The longer the video, the more credits are deducted.
  • Free users will find it very limited within daily free credits.
For exact credit costs and theoretical maximum usage by plan, see the ‘How much can you use in each plan?’ table on the upgrade page.

Alternatives that fit within daily free credits

Instead of lip sync, you can use the following workflow within daily free credits:
  1. Generate narration (voice) and a video (using the Carat Video / LTX model) separately in Carat.
  2. Merge the narration and video in Carat.
This won’t sync lips as precisely as lip sync, but it consumes far fewer credits and fits within daily free credits.
