The concurrent generation limit is the maximum number of content generation tasks (images, videos, audio, etc.) you can run at the same time.

Concurrent generation limits by plan

PlanMax concurrent generations
PlusUp to 4
PremiumUp to 8
ProUp to 8
The concurrent generation limit refers to the number of generation tasks currently in progress. Once a generation is complete, you can start a new one.

How the limit works

  • All generation tasks including images, videos, and audio count toward the concurrent generation limit.
  • Slots are automatically freed when a generation task completes.
  • When you reach the limit, new generation requests will queue until current generations complete.

Does heavy Unlimited usage lower my concurrent generation limit?

Separate from the standard per-plan limits above, accounts using the Unlimited benefit at an exceptionally large scale may see concurrent generation temporarily adjusted under Carat’s Fair Use policy. Typical usage isn’t affected. See What is the Fair Use policy for the Unlimited benefit? for details.

Need more concurrent generations?

If you’re on the Plus plan (up to 4), you can upgrade to Premium or Pro plan to get up to 8 concurrent generations. For detailed plan information, visit the upgrade page.
