Does this apply to my payment?
The addendum you agreed to at checkout states which terms govern your payment. If you aren’t sure, email help@carat.im.
How the refund is calculated
Your refund is the amount you paid minus the two deductions below.1
Deduction for months already used
Months used × the standard monthly price of your plan. This uses the regular monthly subscription price, not the discounted annual rate.
2
Deduction for usage above your allowance
Calculated in this order:
- Total usage = credits deducted up to your cancellation request + the credit equivalent of everything you generated with unlimited benefits
- Allowance = months used × monthly credit grant
- Excess usage = total usage − allowance (treated as 0 if negative)
- Unit rate = standard monthly price ÷ monthly credit grant
- Deduction = excess usage × unit rate
No penalty fee. When this settlement applies, the 10% penalty fee on the total payment is not charged.
If the deductions add up to more than you paid, we do not bill you for the difference. The refund is floored at zero.
Also worth knowing
- Unused credits: subscription credits still in your balance at cancellation expire and are not refunded. This rule is the same on every plan (see Unused credit policy).
- Credits you bought separately: credits purchased on top of your plan are handled separately from this settlement.
- You get the breakdown: once the refund is calculated, we send you the deduction for months used, the deduction for excess usage, and the final refund amount.
- Figures differ by plan: the standard monthly price, monthly credit grant, and unit rate are plan-specific. Your exact figures are in the addendum, which opens from [View full terms(전문보기)] on the checkout screen.
Does using unlimited benefits always cut my refund?
No. If your usage stays within your allowance (months used × monthly credit grant), the excess-usage deduction is zero. Only the portion above that allowance, counting deducted credits and unlimited usage together, is deducted at the standard rate.Frequently asked questions
If it's unlimited, why does it count as usage?
If it's unlimited, why does it count as usage?
Unlimited means no credits are deducted when you generate. It doesn’t mean the generation goes unrecorded: its credit equivalent stays in your usage history. That record is what we settle against when a benefit granted on the condition of a full year of subscription ends early.
